Medicare Advantage Part C

"Medicare Advantage plans are sometimes called Medicare Part C plans. These are private insurance plans offered by major insurance companies. The Medicare system pays these private insurance companies to offer these plans. The companies, in turn, provide you with benefits". - Medicare & You Guide

What should you be asking about Medicare Part C?

When considering Medicare Advantage, there are several key questions you should ask in order to make an informed decision.

First, ask about the plan’s coverage and benefits, including what services are included and any additional costs you may be responsible for.

Secondly, inquire about the plan’s network of doctors and hospitals and if you can see out-of-network providers.

Third, determine if the plan will cover prescription drugs and if there are any limits or restrictions on the medications you can take.

Fourth, ask if there are any additional benefits included in the plan, such as vision or dental coverage.

Finally, inquire about the plan’s cost and any additional fees associated with the plan.
